1. Services
New Chapter provides professional learning courses, educator resources, centre licences and whole-school training. The scope, delivery method, inclusions, access period, fees and timeframe will be confirmed before paid work begins.
2. Team arrangements
A person arranging a centre licence or school training confirms they have authority to agree the arrangement. Licence proposals will specify permitted participants, resource use and access.
3. Fees and payment
The School Readiness Beyond the ABCs: The Hidden Curriculum course is available for $39 AUD through our secure online checkout. Participants must register or sign in to the New Chapter Education Learning Hub before purchasing. Following successful payment, course access is intended to be activated automatically. If access is not available after payment, participants should contact admin@newchaptereducation.com.au for assistance. Participants should not make a second payment while an access issue is being investigated.
Participants receive 12 months of course access from successful enrolment.
Team training and centre licences are quoted separately and confirmed in writing.
4. Course refunds, cancellations and rescheduling
Self-paced course refunds
Participants may request a change-of-mind refund within 14 days of purchase if they have not substantially accessed or completed the course. This policy does not limit any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law. Refund requests can be directed to admin@newchaptereducation.com.au.
Booked workshops and professional learning sessions
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a booked workshop or professional learning session.
Where less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, the session fee may be retained or charged because the time was reserved and may not be able to be rebooked. New Chapter may exercise discretion in exceptional circumstances.
If New Chapter must cancel, we will offer a rescheduled session or refund the amount paid for the affected session.
5. Attendance and lateness
Please join online sessions or arrive for face-to-face sessions on time. A session will normally still finish at its scheduled time if a participant is late. If technical or other circumstances materially prevent delivery, the parties will discuss a reasonable solution.
6. Online sessions and technology
Participants and organisations are responsible for suitable internet access, a working device and a reasonably quiet and safe learning space. Links and login information must not be shared with unauthorised people.
7. Participation and safety
Participants are expected to support a respectful and safe professional learning environment. New Chapter may pause or end a session if conduct prevents safe and effective delivery.
8. Recording and privacy
Online or face-to-face sessions must not be recorded by either party unless everyone concerned has given prior written consent and the educational purpose, access and retention arrangements have been agreed.
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9. Educational outcomes
New Chapter will provide services with due care and skill. Learning progress is influenced by many factors, including attendance, engagement, practice, wellbeing and individual circumstances. We cannot guarantee a particular professional or organisational outcome.
10. Resources and intellectual property
Unless agreed otherwise, resources created or supplied by New Chapter remain the intellectual property of New Chapter or the relevant rights holder. Purchased or supplied resources are for the agreed educator, centre, school or organisation and must not be copied, shared, sold, uploaded or distributed beyond that permitted use.
Participants retain ownership of their original reflections. Permission will be sought before identifiable contributions are used beyond delivering the service.
11. Communication and respectful conduct
Participants, organisations and New Chapter are expected to communicate respectfully. Concerns should be raised promptly so they can be discussed and addressed. Abusive, discriminatory, threatening or unsafe behaviour may result in services being suspended or ended.
12. Ending services
Either party may end an ongoing arrangement by giving reasonable written notice. Fees remain payable for services already delivered, completed custom work and bookings cancelled outside the notice period. Any refund will be assessed according to the circumstances and Australian Consumer Law.
13. Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
14. Changes
We may update these terms for future bookings or services. Changes will not retrospectively alter an already agreed service without the parties’ agreement, except where required by law.
15. Contact and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
